This is a vinyl LP pressing of Chet Baker Sings and Plays (Blue Note Tone Poet Series) by Chet Baker. The American jazz composer and trumpeter originally released his album in 1955 via Pacific Jazz Records. Produced by Richard Bock, the album was recorded at Barclay Records in the same year of the release. Backing him on the date were both his quartet featuring pianist Russ Freeman and an expanded ensemble with Bud Shank on flute and strings arranged by Frank Campo, Johnny Mandel, and Marty Paich. In 2023, Rolling Stone ranked Baker at number 116 on its list of the 200 Greatest Singers of All Time.
