Originally designed in collaboration with jazz guitar legend Joe Pass, this Joe Pass Emperor II PRO guitar has all the feel, looks, and sound of a classic jazz box. From the spruce top and flame maple back and sides, bound pau ferro fingerboard and pearloid block inlays to the mock tortoiseshell pickguard and gold hardware, the Joe Pass Emperor II PRO exudes an understated elegance and looks like it should cost far in excess of what it actually does. The guitar's distinct jazz vibe is complemented by great vintage tones from its ProBucker-2 and ProBucker-3 pickups. ProBuckers capture the sound of the original hand-wound PAF humbuckers designed by Seth Lover at Gibson's Kalamazoo factory in the late 1950s. In addition, coil tapping is available on both, opening up an even larger range of single coil sounds and a vast array of tones.
