The Epiphone Les Paul Express is pure Les Paul comdensed into a smaller package that's perfect for younger players and for the traveling guitarist. While staying true to the Les Paul design, Epiphone incorporated some features to make the Express a guitar that performs well for beginners as well as professionals looking for a travel guitar. The neck on the Express is hard maple instead of mahogany. producing more high-end ""bite"" to offset the slightly looser string tension due to the shorter scale length. Classic Les Paul Sound comes from Epiphone 650R and 700T humbuckers.
