The British rock band originally released their debut studio album on February 5, 2021, via Ninja Tune Records. Produced by Andy Savours, the album includes re-recorded versions of their 2019 debut singles "Athens, France" and "Sunglasses". Known for experimenting with post-punk, klezmer, free jazz, and math rock, the band showcased a clear preference for atmospherics over post-punk on For the First Time. It was nominated for the Mercury Prize in 2021 and debuted at No. 4 on the UK Albums Chart.
