Humbuckers do not all sound alike, despite the common misconception that they do. Gibson has a range of humbucking pickups available, each model with it's own distinctive personality. If you are looking for something a little different however, the P-94 is a whole other beast. It is a unique combination that provides the best of both worlds, giving you the classic Gibson P-90 single coil sound, but in a traditional humbucker-sized housing, which means you can replace a humbucker with the P-94 without any routing or other damaging modifications to your guitar. The P-94 features the same enamel coated vintage wire and Alnico V magnets as the original classic P-90 and comes in calibrated neck and bridge models for balanced output. You can also combine a P-94 with with an existing humbucker for unique tonal combinations. With a higher output and better sustain than traditional single coil pickups, it's got stacks of bite when you need it, with enough responsiveness to allow for subtle nuances and enhanced dynamics.
