With hum-cancelling side-by-side coils and twin-blade pole pieces, the Fast Track 1 gives you pure single-coil tone with some advantages, not least of which is that the dual blades can handle all string spacings. The Fast Track 1 has the same open top end as a single-coil but with an enhanced bass response. Fast Tracks sing like your favourite single-coil, only about twice as loud.
