This is a vinyl LP pressing of Genesis by Genesis, the band’s twelfth studio album, originally released on October 3, 1983, here presented in its 2007 remastered version. Following their tour supporting Three Sides Live, the band took an eight-month break before recording the album entirely at their own studio, The Farm, marking the first time they wrote, recorded, and mixed a full album there collectively as a group. The album was a major commercial success, reaching No. 1 in the UK and No. 9 in the US, where it sold over four million copies, and produced several singles released between 1983 and 1984, including “Mama,” their highest-charting UK single at No. 4.
