About This Product
Carefully constructed with resonant Siam Oak and a high-performance hand-selected goat head, this Irish Bodhran from MEINL is an instrument that truly exceeds expectations. With an extra deep shell for a rich, fuller sound profile, plus an extra dampening layer on the rim to reduce overtones, the sound you can tease out of this drum is impeccable. The traditional cross brace has been removed to enable direct hand pressure on the head for contemporary pitch-bending techniques, adding a layer of flexibility to this instrument that is hard to overlook.
