About This Product

The Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound Jazz Bass pickups deliver high-output power, strong attack, and bold tonal character for players who need maximum presence and punch. Featuring oversized 1/4” Alnico 5 rod magnets and overwound coils, they provide a full, even response with enhanced sustain, rich harmonics, and aggressive midrange drive while retaining clear, articulate highs. The neck pickup is reverse wound/reverse polarity (RW/RP) for hum-canceling performance when used with the bridge pickup. Designed as drop-in replacements for American Standard Jazz Basses, they offer a straightforward upgrade for modern bass tones across any genre. Hand built in Santa Barbara, California, with Forbon flatwork and wax potting for squeal-free reliability, the Quarter Pound set delivers powerful, stage-ready bass tone with clarity and attitude.
