This is a 2024 reissue vinyl LP pressing of Terrapin Station by Grateful Dead. The American rock band originally released their ninth studio album on July 27, 1977, via Arista Records. Mastered by Grammy Award-winning engineer David Glasser and produced by David Lemieux, Terrapin Station is the first Arista Grateful Dead album, marking a decade since their debut. Arista president Clive Davis enlisted Fleetwood Mac producer Keith Olson, resulting in a groundbreaking work filled with strings, horns, and a choir—uncharted territory for the Dead. Featuring Donna Jean Godchaux's debut lead vocal, the album boasts hits like Estimated Prophet and the entire Terrapin Station suite, showcasing one of the Dead's most exciting musical sequences ever committed to vinyl.
