This is a vinyl LP pressing of Tutu by Miles Davis, his debut for Warner Records and his first collaboration with Marcus Miller. Released in 1986 on Warner Bros. Records, Tutu marked a bold sonic reinvention for the jazz icon, bridging avant-garde horn performance with 1980s synthesizers, drum machines, and funk-driven electronic production. Primarily written,arranged, and produced by multi-instrumentalist virtuoso Marcus Miller, the album features Miles’s searing, Harmon-muted trumpet soaring over punchy slap bass grooves, sleek synth pads, and programmed urban rhythms. From the haunting title track to the hypnotic cover of Scritti Politti’s "Perfect Way," this seminal release captures a fearless pioneer embracing the future of sound without losing an ounce of soulful intimacy.
